Bug 1251460 - Remove assert introduced in previous commit. r?jya The previous changes introduce an assert in UpdateBufferedWithPromise which assumes that after updating there will always be some buffered interval. However, it appears possible to very quickly shutdown the underlying decoder and have it purge any buffered data and to race the UpdateBufferedWithPromise check. The test_bug448534.html test highlighted this. I think it's valid to have an empty buffered range in the case where a shutdown has happened, and I cannot find an elegant way to reword the assert, as such I'm removing it. Bug 1186060 - Build with Visual Studio 2015 Update 1; r?ted, ehsan (THIS PATCH IS NOT READY FOR FINAL REVIEW BECAUSE OF THE HACKINESS AROUND INSTALLING THE TOOLCHAIN. I'm submitting the patch now to test the waters around the approach.) This commit switches Windows builds from Visual Studio 2013 to Visual Studio 2015 Update 1. Previously, Visual Studio was installed on the builers as part of the base system image. Starting with this commit, we obtain Visual Studio from a pre-generated, self-contained archive containing the executables, Windows SDK, and other support files. This means that new Windows toolchains can be installed without having to modify configuration of machines in automation! The mozconfigs for Visual Studio 2015 are a bit different from existing mozconfigs. Because it appears to be completely redundant and not necessary, the LIBPATH variable has been dropped. The order of paths in PATH, LIB, and INCLUDE has changed. The new order more accurately reflects what would be defined by vcvarsall.bat. As part of switching to Visual Studio 2015, the Universal CRT is now required. So, the 2015 mozconfigs export WIN_UCRT_REDIST_DIR to define the location to those files. The switch to Visual Studio 2015 also involves the switch from the Windows 8.1 SDK to the Windows 10 SDK. However, we still target an old version of Windows, so this hopefully shouldn't have any significant fallout. It's worth noting that switching to Visual Studio 2015 makes builds - especially PGO builds - significantly faster. Our PGO build times in automation are ~1 hour faster. Our regular builds appear to be a few minutes faster. MozReview-Commit-ID: Pa5GW8V87Q

Bug 1252928 - Part 2: Turn android-gradle-build into a desktop-build clone. r?dustin This container formerly defined a special Gradle project for fetching dependencies. This patch lays the ground-work to use the in-tree Gradle project instead. Using the in-tree project looks like first starting a local Nexus repository to collect downloaded dependencies (before.sh); then running a build which populates that repository; and then packaging up the downloaded dependencies (after.sh). The patch after this will define the build which populates the repository. Sadly there's no easy way to *inherit* from desktop-build, so this is a copy-paste-modify clone. Bug 1252928 - Part 1: Use Jake Wharton's sdk-manager-plugin in Fennec's Gradle configuration. r?sebastian This is a version produced locally from https://github.com/JakeWharton/sdk-manager-plugin/commit/1d07987217120fffdc0ce1291d73e974310d7d92. I used |./gradlew install| and then copied the pieces out of ~/.m2/repository. Local builders should never download using this plugin, since |mach configure| ensures that all the relevant pieces can already be found. It's just useful in automation; and as an eventual replacement for chunks of |mach bootstrap|. MozReview-Commit-ID: 9JiFe0xLr99
